I've been training Tai-Chi under Nigel Suttons Zhong-Ding Chinese martial arts association for about 12 years, my main art is Tai-Chi but I have also trained over in Malaysia for 3 months a few years ago and while there learnt a traditional style of Thai Boxing and an old style of Silat (Silat Tua).
At the moment I switch between training Tai-Chi one day and the Thai Boxing the next, I also practise yoga (most of my teachers follow the concepts left behind by Vanda Scarvelli).
I wouldn't call myself physically gifted or a natural fighter, any skill I have aquired I've struggled to get, I tend to understand things mentally way before I can do them physically. My Thai Boxing teacher in Malaysia called me a 'Headless Tiger' after about 5mins of meeting me and i think that's probably the best assessment of my personality I've heard, I've realised that most of my training is an attempt to connect my head to the rest of my body.
